Children’s Portraiture
Portraiture sessions can take place in your home, outdoors, or in the studio:
The documentary style in which I photograph children and families is very similar to the way I photograph weddings. For the most part my approach is very natural and candid, while giving just enough direction to make everyone feel comfortable and look their best. My goal is to show family interaction with a focus on capturing the true essence of your children’s personalities at their current ages. I create fine art for my clients that provide classic memories for generations to come.
Professional photography is commonly perceived as a stressful situation, making sure matching outfits stay clean and hair is flawelssly combed as children sit perfectly still and say cheese. My philosopy is to let kids be themselves. I get down on their level and play with them, make them laugh and capture all of their unique expressions. A session should be a fun and memorable experience for everyone.
Photo Session Details: If you choose to have me come to your home for a photography session, I usually photograph special details in your child’s room or nursery. As you may notice in the portfolio galleries, most of the images are close-up, to best show expressions and capture emotion. I prefer to only include two adults and their children (immediate family members) in order to create this look. Pets that are not camera shy are always invited to join in the session!
PACKAGES and PRICING
1.One Portraiture Session for Children, Babies, Newborns or Pregnancy – $250
Each photo session includes digital photography (with no time limit) and an online web gallery to share with friends and family. Professional matt and canvas prints can be purchased at very reasonable prices from your online gallery. Because most of my clients end up wanting prints of all of the images in their gallery, I also offer the purchase of high resolution files (for an additional $250). With the purchase of your files on disc you can make prints, newborn announcement cards, Holiday cards or even albums at the lab of your choice!
2. “Watch Me Grow” – Five Photo Sessions – $975
(newborn, 3 mos. 6 mos. 9 mos. and 12 mos.- savings of $275)
Purchase of High Resolution files are also available for each photo session in this package at a discounted rate of $200 per session. Clients are welcome to replace one of the sessions listed above with a pregnancy session if they prefer.
