Love is Cheesy, a kitschy engagement shoot

Who does not love a little cheese? Well, Erin and Tyson really love it (and so do I)! Until recently, Erin worked for Whole Foods Market in the specialty department (wine & cheese). She now has a new job that she is loving, but for the shoot we decided to include a little play on words with love and cheese. We also went to the park with their dog and shot some images that were more documentary in nature with less direction from me (not as posed). Because there were so many fun & unique images that we shot in the studio, I decided to share only those images in this blog post, although there were so many cute images from the park as well!

For engagement sessions, I like to use personal items in my shoots, including pets or I photograph activities that the couple’s like to do together, like biking. This is great for showing personality and getting some great, natural and playful interactions. Special places can also be included, where the proposal took place or an area that couples frequently go together.  Another fun engagement shoot that I did recently for one of my spring 2014 couples, Teresa & Matt, was at the Durham Farmer’s market, a favorite restaurant and coffee shop nearby.

Enjoy, Erin and Tyson tie the knot in Spring 2014!
